Sozo Studios

"SPACE CRAFT" Modular kitchen launch

This was an incredible client to work with because I found the entire philosophy of their product absolutely inspired. Based on the traditional Japanese bento box, the approach Sozo Studio takes on each and every kitchen can truly be defined as crafted space.

Each unit is carefully designed to meet an architect's specifications. Finishes and fixtures are available in a broad range of options with seasonal "look-books" made available annually.

Individual compartments are thought through with care to make storage intuitive, fitting together seamlessly as a whole when not in use.

I provided Creative Direction and maintained quality standards for the launch materials and acted as lead Photo stylist. I facilitated brand discussions with the team, helped define marketing strategy and managed the website launch.

CLIENT

Wetpixel

UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY MAGAZINE & BLOG

Wetpixel is a blog dedicated to underwater photography and videography. With up-to-date news, articles, gear reviews, photo contests, and dive expeditions, Wetpixel is a strong, focused community of over 20,000 underwater photographers.

THE CHALLENGE:

Founders Eric Cheng (Facebook) and Eli Woolery (Invision) asked me to help bring a stronger presence for the Blog to trade shows and propel a printed version of the online experience into mainstream retail outlets.

THE RESULT

Eric managed and produced content, Eli designed the magazine and I designed a revenue generating section for advertising sponsors. I then solicited retail partners and the publication was picked up by Barnes & Nobel. It's now part of a collectors edition boxed set.
